Located in North Glasgow, Lambhill Stables were built around 1815 as a staging post, when horses pulled boats and barges along the Forth & Clyde Canal. The site lay derelict for many years, and in 2007 the building was taken into community ownership and rebuilt in 2011. The Lambhill stables are now home to social enterprise and community charity. They were built to improve the quality of life residents of all ages and abilities, and it is a thriving meeting place with a café, gardens and allotments.
